Did you know that only 10% of women report rape? It is very surprising, and I would encourage all women to stand up and not be silent. If we don’t stand up and tell authorizes then we will just continue to get raped. We need to put these people where they belong. You should never feel like it was your fault. Rape is no one’s fault but the rapist. I hope that the reporting rape statistics go up. Ladies we need to take a stand and take it now, let us rise above and not be silent anymore!
I have given you different forms of rape from my first blog. All are illegal and are a type of rape. I don’t care if you were drunk, or if your spouse raped you. Both of these are rape, and should be treated as such. Don’t let anyone try to blame you for being raped, nobody asks to be raped and I would like to meet someone who wants to. You should not feel ashamed or worthless because bad things happen to good people. Rape should not be the end of your life. I have never been raped, however I have went through a lot of abuse with a boy. I felt worthless when he would tell me I would never find anyone else and I was ugly. But after we broke up I got stronger every day. I learned from my experiences and became a stronger and smarter individual. So I would like to see women affected by rape make something positive from it; such as go to a school and talk about it informing other women about it. Or you could also fight to get that person behind bars so that the person could never rape another person.
From this blog I hope to see rates of women reporting rape go up and women getting raped go down. I could not imagine what being raped is like, and I would never wish it upon anyone. This is why I want to warn young women about the risks they are taking by drinking or being in a violent relationship. I hope some good comes from this information I have provided, I wish to help young women get thought this and help prevent rape from happening. I cannot prevent rape from happening, but I can provide logical information young women could use to make their chances of getting raped less likely. And please don’t be silent! Stand up and report the crime that has been committed.
